The most effectice way that I know of (and I tried several in stripping my
car) is a gas torch and paint scraper. A comfortable chair, car lift and
many beers makes the task significantly less unpleasant. Wear disposable
clothing that is fire resistant (burning blobs of undercoat have a habit of
dripping on you).

Eastwoods advertize a brush-on "dissolver", but I have no idea of its
effectiveness.

It took me about 15-20 hours to strip all that junk off the car. I swore
not to use it again and so powdercoated everything that was originally
coated.
