 I read some of the other posts after responding. Most are consistent with
my experience. My advertising company doesn't use props or do photo/video
shoots very often, but it's common in my business. Generally we try to get
things like this provided for free. Pockets aren't as deep as you might
think and everything has a budget. What you don't want to do is accept
liability or get your car back trashed. But most people like to see their
toys in ads or movies, and as long as you don't wind up losing anything, why
not?

Still, ask them what they offer. If they consider your cars to be vital to
their project then they'll be willing to pay a reasonable amount. and THEN
you stipulate all the conditions--adequate liability coverage, professional
detailing of the cars after they are done with them and they pay for any
scratches or damage. take lots of "before" photos so there aren't any "it
was already scratched" arguments. 

and have fun. Make sure you get to come when you can. Photo and video shoots
are a blast (when they aren't boring)
