Actually it's the CRC over labor day that I got involved with, but I
agree that this week is the best one for vintage racing in the
Northwest. I won't be here this year or course, but because the
Pacific Northwest Historics and the Portland Historics are just a
week apart we get a lot of really great cars that otherwise stay at
their home tracks.
Have a great time. If you need some suggestions for great
restaurants, brewpubs, or places to be please feel free to ask. The
Rose festival starts today, next week is fleet week, the tall ships
are already here, moored down along front ave. If you're coming the
end of June the parades and stuff will be pretty much over, but some
Rose Festival activities pretty much run until July http://
www.rosefestival.org/events/. When you get to Portland be sure to go
up to the Rose Gardens, the Arboretum and Japanese gardens. Grab a
picnic lunch from Elephant's deli on 22nd and Burnside before you go--
spectacular food and an amazing place all by itself.
