A buddy of mine has a Tr6 (1975) He changed his dash board and now has a
situation with his headlights.The headlights work fine without the engine
running.When the vehicle is running he loses his headlights.The usual checks
for proper connections, grounds ,Etc has been done without success,He has
narrowed it down to the steering lock however he is not sure why . The
ignition switch was removed and cleaned ( appears to be working okay ) There
is a black and green wire connected at the base of the lock.It doesn't show up
on the wiring diagram There info schematic of the locking mechanism in the
shop manual to show how it works .Does anyone have any idea why this would
cause this problem.
