Okay, I think I've added everyone and am up to date on recent nominations.
But I could be wrong, let me know if you didn't get this message. ( Gee,
how many times have I said that over the years? )
For those of who who don't know much about this list and Team.Net
in general, I'll give a basic rundown. About 20 years ago a small handful
of folks interested in various automotive stuff started sharing their
passions using what back then was a fairly new and unknown technology,
email. As I was working in the Computer Science department at the
University of Utah, the 5th site on the net, I agreed to coordinate some
things and run a couple of mailing lists. In the intervening years
Team.Net grew and grew, with various lists spawning off as traffic
got busier and busier. It used to be run from a machine at the U of U,
but traffic got a little too high and I ended up moving to a server of
my own at home.
Back in December of 1996 this FOT list came to be and has been growing
ever since. Currently we have close to 300 addresses on the list. I still
maintain things as best I can, but remember it is a volunteer thing, I don't
get paid for this. I do, however, once or twice a year solicit donations to
cover the out of pocket expenses involved with keeping things running.
