No, but I rode as a passenger.
I caught a ride in my buddy's Sprite during crew rides at a vintage race at
Summit Point years ago. I sat on the fire extinguisher and foolishly tried to
video the ride for posterity. There was no windshield on my side and the wind
going down the straight was so strong that I couldn't hold the camera steady.
I shot sky, trees, and floorboards, but little track. I gave up and put the
camera down. That allowed me to hold on for dear life with two hands anyway.
Then he overcooked Wagon Bend and we went off to the outside. Luckily, we got
back on the track without help.
I broke the fire extinguisher mount. I also cracked the viewfinder on the
camera.
Man, was it fun!
