[Fot] Soldering question

I'm usually pretty good with a torch and solder but soldering the screen 
back on a TR3 oil pickup has proven quite challenging. Can this be done 
with traditional copper pipe solder and flux or does it take something 
different e.g. lead... Any technique tips?
