Silly stuff. On the internet there is always someone ready to tell you what
you should or should not do--some of that spills to the FOT. If it's Joe, or
Mark, then take heed. If it's not, then it's about as legitimate and useful as
if I made the comment--in other words, not at all. I was interested enough in
the product to ping Tony Garmey about it. Of course he asked if I had brake
fade, and I had to say "Oh, well, I guess not. Never mind."

Still, anyone finding something "new" for our cars should share it, and I
don't care if it's the manufacturer. I think this whole "no financial
interest" thing is silly. What are we, communists? If someone figures out how
to make millions selling to the remaining 100 or so people racing Triumph
powered cars then I say, more power to them.

This is really a very well behaved list peopled with nice folks. I belong to
Vincent motorcycle list that has that is peopled with the nastiest, grumpiest,
touchiest, most egomaniacal bunch of old bastards I've ever encountered. Of
the few hundred people on the list only one or two would be welcome in my
home. If it weren't for the technical content I'd wash my hands of the lot of
them. I certainly can't say that about the FOT. Fine folks every one. Just
sometimes people forget that not everyone shares their ideas about what is
proper. And no one gets to make a citizen's arrest.
