At least until the end of 1972 this type hood modification was not allowed.  i
doubt if allowed later also.Too bad, as they do add a nice look ot the car and
are very limited in improving the performance. BUT, shimming up the hinges at
the rear of the hood worked pretty well. Also, having a strap across the hood
at the back shows the corner workers that the hood is not loose and apt to fly
off. Just suggestions, or maybe observations..
