Making a new needle in a drill press or other is not a big job, BUT, making a
matching needle is a BIG DEAL. Be certfain to take measurments along the
needle so you at least have a half chance of making a matching pair of
needles. this is nearly as sensative for a street machine as a race car.
Somehere in on of my books I explained how make a device to  do all this with
some deegree of accuracy.
