i have been rebuilding & using these for over 30 years.
there are so many minor variations, its not possible to discuss them here.
the late 80's Volvo 244 ones are usually the best starting point
if built properly, they are very robust and last years of racing without
attention.
biggest problems are worn planet gear axle shafts & related
bearings/gears. the internal annular gear teeth can be in poor shape if its
had limited oil changes.
