Bud, I run the oil line directly from the engine to the Tattletale
(inspectable filter), to the cooler, to the filter, to the engine. The
tattletale will tell you if something is coming apart in the engine.
Also if you scatter an engine with no Tattletale and debris ends up in
the cooler, there's no "cooking out" the cooler; it's history. (Sage
advice from Ted S.)
