an old ca. hot rodder named eddie miller welded little sheet metal closures
over these "black holes" on each side of the engine compartment where nothing
can ever be lost. of course, now any previously lost items will never be able
to escape. other eddie treats -- two (2) i/8" drilled holes on the bonnet
attachment flanges. if you ever need to remove the bonnet, no more laborious
readjusting -- just line up the two holes. same on the front shroud uprights.
also drilled and tapped each door hinge bolt plate where the plate doesn't move
if you remove the doors. they can easily be reinstalled in the very same place
without having to realign the door.
