SPEAK UP, I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE EXHAUST! Stainless, eh? Well, you'll
get to listen for a LONG time!

re clutch problem after you've been driving, I'm assuming the pedal goes
soft?

If so, what happened to me with an older BMW was similar to your
situation, and it turned out that the slave was failing - the seals were
worn. The seals held well enough for you to bleed the system and get out
all the air (because they're not moving while you're bleeding the
slave.) But when you started using the clutch, the back and forth motion
with leaky seals would, in effect, "pump" air back into the system.
After a while, "look ma, no clutch!"

I suppose this could happen at the master cylinder end as well, but
since those seals obviously are moving during the pumping process, I
think the "pumping air" problem would become more obvious if it was at
that end.

I didn't realize how loud the Healey's were while driving. The BN7 has a
new stainless system. I'm used to my MGA with stainless exhaust. Which
ever radio I do choose to install may not be used much. Great sounding
exhaust.

I have not gotten very far before the clutch stops working. After I walk
home to ge the truck and let it sit for a while it begins working agin.
It sounds like air in system to me but I never see any while bleeding.
It is a bear to get my hands in there to even perform the bleeding.

Any other ideas on what may be causing the clutch to stop working after
a bit of driving and start working again after sitting?

This car has been in a barn for 25-ish years.

Cheers,
