Hi, Jim -

I bought a custom made-in-England wool carpet set for my BJ8 from a fellow
lister. It came with no instructions, and was pre-Moss interior video so it
took some time to figure out where all the pieces went.
The trans cover piece was almost long enough to cover both the fiberglass
tunnel cover and the fixed metal tunnel, but not quite. I figured out that it
was supposed to be trimmed at the rear edge of the fiberglass. The remaining
piece actually was big enough to cover the metal tunnel when it was reoriented
after trimming it from the fiberglass part.

I also found that the carpet covering the fiberglass cover fit much better
after I insulated the outer surface of the cover with 1/4" mylar-faced
bubble-wrap insulation.

Good luck!

  Subject: BJ8 Carpet Question

  Greetings all.

I am installing my BJ8 carpet set and find that the new carpet tp cover the
fiberglass trans cover is different than I previously had??? The new peice
is a single piece that goes over the fiberglass trans cover and the rear
metal driveshaft tunnel?? Previously my car had one piece for the metal
driveshaft cover and a separate one for the fiberglass trans cover.

I am assumning I got the wrong carpet piece but wanted to check the list
  first.

  Thanks.
