I was going to try to take it out in the morning and go to the GCHC meeting.
I think I fixed the fuel leak (very badly adjusted float lever).  I wanted
to put the heat shield on the car to keep the gas off of the manifold if it
comes back.  Unfortunately I only had one brass nut, and the local HW store
does not carry them.  I will get one tomorrow.

Patton -

You want to use a brass nut to keep from breaking the
stud off later, when you have to undo it.  Anything on
or around the exhaust manifold should use a brass nut
for this reason (trust me on this!).  Using a little
anti-seize compound is a good idea also.
