I plan to drop off my chassis at the powder coater in the next week or so. I'm
not the cleanest welder in the world so was wondering if the powder coating
would hide some of the not so clean welds? Our should I plan on spending the
next 48 hours getting to know my grinder....Has anyone had any experience with
this? Any advice out there on gloss vs. semi gloss etc...

Also, I've seen a lot of discussion through the archives on shut pillars /
dimension from the hinge pillar etc... If I locate the shut pillar based on
how the rear panels align (I have the rear shroud and left/right rear panels
installed for test fit and everything looks good) I end up with a 1/2" gap
between the shut pillar and the door. Since the car is without engine/trans I
thought it best to not worry about this for now. Has anyone installed the shut
pillars later (grind down paint under the weld later - spot weld) with the
rocker panels?

Thanks for the help,
