John,
Here are the specifications I know, both readings were taken from
working coils, the MSD matched what is listed on their web site.

Lucas Sports Coil Primary 3.0 Ohm Secondary 8.8K
Ohm
MSD Blaster High Vibration Primary .7 Ohm Secondary 4.7K Ohm

I have no idea what the stock coils ratings are, you will have to check
with the manufacturer of the coil or another source to find out.

General Rule of Thumb
Primary windings range from a few tenths of an ohm to a few ohms, and
secondary winding may be 10 ohms or more.

There was a post to the List on 8/29 covering the above subject, and how
to do
the test using an ohmmeter. It said to compare the test readings to the
range
indicated in the service manual. My factory Workshop Manual does not
give any
specifications.

Could someone provide them? (resistance for the primary and secondary
windings) TIA

John Snyder
