Ron Yates was a good friend. We talked Thursday night. He was writing a
California Healey racing history book and after that was done, we would
probably write one together on the 100S. He was the sole inspiration behind
the Dipstick Digest of which I got the latest edition yesterday. In it he
was lamenting Jim Albeck's passing.
Ron has a brother in Anaheim, I think. Other than that, I don't know. Ron
moved from Anaheim to Mohave Valley about two years ago.
I learned about the accident from my friend at the track, the Motor Racing
Outreach chaplain, but he didn't know or find out Ron's name at the time of
the email.
Thank you for your prayers.
Ken Freese
