Hey, got my little red (and black) wagon running today for the 1st time in 2.5
years!!!!!!!! -All new tricarb choke cables, float lids and float chamber
guts. Look Ma! ..no more overflowing float chambers!

Man! Thing is, it was running like *(%$#@* when I put it away. ...And guess
what? It didn't fix itself while in storage.

Looking for a shortcut to normal troubleshooting...

Car runs and revs relatively smoothly when cold with full choke. Once warmed
up, car idles smooth (too high, 1500 rpm, but I can fix that later) but breaks
down when revved and under acceleration. Breaks down badly with some crackling
and light backfire. Cant reach upshift rpm in 2nd gear!

So far, cleaned and reset points, and rotor blade, reseated spark plug wires
and checked distributor cap and contacts. Checked all ignition connections.
Found dashpot oil quite low, but not dry. --could that be it? Seems to me that
we had a similar thread a short while ago. -Though I've never had it get low
before, so I have never had problems with it.
I'll fill them, ....any other ideas?
Wanted to get suggestions before yanking plugs, replacing plug wires, testing
coil, resetting carbs etc etc.
