No offense to R&R was intended, only fair comment. In fairness to R&R:

1. The hue is ideal for 3000's. That R&R matched to intact BT7 and BJ8 cars
is not in doubt.
2. The paint quality is excellent.

There are however, two sides.

Mr. Maine overlooks that I bought $475 worth of paint (enough to do the whole
car) without a color sample. I'm not one of his "yo-yo's [who] would take our
samples to their local paint store and get a half ass match".

And yes, I asked for a paint chip and got the same explanation about lowering
pressure, which I passed on to my painter. Whether he tried to lower pressure
I'll never know. What I do know is that the color is considerably darker than
my specimen. Had R&R supplied a color sample, we might have been able to work
together on lightening it to match my color.

I understand from the local paint stores that you need a 3"x3" paint surface
to scan, so there would be no harm in R&R's providing a much smaller sized
area (e.g., 1"x2") -- something worth considering given the costs of the
paint.

I still reach out for help from anyone who can steer me to a more acceptable
color by any means. A few listers have noted that the ICI card is consistent
with my observation that the original color is a little greenish. Any ideas
are appreciated.
