An explanation - I had a local friend (whose hobby is transmissions!) make
one tranny out of two. He is very meticulous and has the box done (working on
the OD now) but my two three speeds have now been merged into one four speed!
The math doesn't even make sense.
More importantly, from his perspective, there are no left over parts or
any indication that either box had 'first' gear 'blocked'.
So I'm counting on a written reference or a sketch from someone (by fax,
perhaps?) so I get him a good night's sleep once more.
