I think all healeys except the BJ8 use the same control box. It is
likely that it was replaced with this unit because it is cheaper... I
think the 106/2 units were used on minis and minors... so they are
probably very cheap. I can't comment on the wiring other than follow
your wiring diagram in the manual and you will get it right.
When replacing your regulator, I would HIGHLY recommend replacing
your battery with a new Optima or Excide Orbital... these batteries
can handle the haphazardly operating electrical systems on a healey
and they will never gas off or spew out acid (they are gel batteries).
They are awesome to put it mildly. I hear sam's club / wal-mart
sells the Optima cheap.
