According to "Tam's Old Race Car Site", Dan Blocker "created the
"Vinegaroon" team that first raced the ex-Bill Krause Elva Mk.6-Maserati
and then a very potent Genie-Chevy."

On "The Racers Network" in 2001, the second Vinegaroon was for sale at
$89,900. The ad said "1965 Huffaker MK10 Genie, owned by actor Dan
"Hoss" Blocker, driven by John Cannon and Bob Harris. Lots of USRRC
history including a 1968 Las Vegas win. Fresh 350ci Chev., Webers, DG
300 Hewland, Konis, Chicago Historic Concours Winner in 1998, ready to
race or show."

"This car is known as the VINEGAROON Genie sponsored by NICKEY
Chevrolet."

Nothing to do with Austin-Healey at all.

The following is from the Open Exhaust column by Al Auger in the
(Vacaville) Reporter newpaper, 4/29/2005:

" 'Bonanza' star provided wild racing memories. Dan Blocker was a
"car guy" with a problem. He loved sports cars and road racing. But,
his 6-foot-4-inch bulk could hardly fit in the cockpit of the cars he
loved. He was also a friend with a heart as big as his body. I first
met Dan at Laguna Seca where, although he couldn't drive a race car, he
kept close to the sport as a car owner.

The Car, a highly modified Austin-Healey he called the "Vinegarroon",
was a monster to drive, powered by a supped up V-8..."
