I remember that shortly after the new Mini was  introduced, BMW wanted to 
revive the Austin Healey and ran into problems because  the family does still 
own 
the rights to the name.  I don't remember why  they would not license the 
name to BMW (although there is something about the  Germans building a British 
car that doesn't sit right with me).  They had  an artist rendering of a 
possible shape, very retro.
