Probably should have explained, it's a freshly rebuilt engine, carbs, ign.
(everything, soup to nuts pistons, rings, all bearings bored, --essentially
brand new.) with only about 100 miles on it, and I set the valve clearances
and rechecked them after running for about 6 hours, last summer/fall. Thanks
though, you had a good point.
