Same holds true in Pennsylvania. Cars with Antique registration do not
need the annual safety inspection. This has been true for a number of
years. They require pictures of all four sides of the car, and you must
have regular registered vehicles that you drive daily when you apply for
the plate. People with antique cars are going to take good care of them
and maintain them as they came from the factory, so no inspection. I
like it. In return, you are limited to occasional pleasure cruises,
parades and shows, the car cannot be used to drive to work or be used to
earn money from renting or such.
