Another vote here for the 48s!  For the kind of driving I personally do,
they are just fine. IMHO, the 60s look a tad strange, and the 72s are
bizarre, TOTALLY out of character (can you spell Hollywood?). I also paint
my rear drums black, so that the car (62BT7) presents a reasonably "matched"
appearance from the side, rather than looking like it only had brakes on the
rear! However, if I had an all drum car, I'd paint them silver.

Something I have never heard brought up here. An old LBC mechanic (when
asked about 48 vs. 60), MANY years ago, drew me a quick sectional sketch of
a wire wheel. The spokes of a 48 form a triangle, hub-to-rim (the most rigid
figure) - those of a 60 form an "X". He just shrugged his shoulders as if
there was no more to say. Valid?  I don't know.
