As long as I can remember everyone with knockoff hubs seems to think they 
must be tightened beyond tight lest they come off. Isn't that the reason 
they are designed to go on the right  or left side of the car? So they are 
in effect self tightening? I have been around British cars for fifty years 
and I have yet to hear of a wheel coming off on the road. I tighten mine 
with a dead blow hammer but it's just a judgment call as to when they are on 
tight enough. I think most people tighten them way too much causing much 
damage to the ears. Running for cover..... JL
