Clear Paint Help

I am looking for an over the counter clear paint to use on the under bonnet
items that appear to be bear metal.  (throttle switch, relay, some bolts etc.)
A semi gloss or a flat coat seems to be what I would be looking for.   Any
suggestions that some of you have tried?  ( Brand names, lacquer, enamel,
polyurethane, etc.)

I am bead blasting these items and would like to protect them from rusting
again later.
