Very nice summary John. And I guess I new my comment would wake up some
of you "sleeping dogs" out there.
I do believe you forgot the Beach Boys. I'm surprised the west coasters
didn't comment on the surfer boys.
And yes, I check out all the R and R and the R and B shows on PBS since I
only get 6 channels so PBS is on most of the time. Speaking of PBS
shows, the show that they had on about John Lennon's portable Juke Box was
a real ear/ eye opener. Truly amazing how many riffs and music ideas they
borrowed (stole) from other artists. I had never heard that before ,but when
they compared the songs and riffs, it was pretty obvious. And these songs
by other artists were on J. Lennon's Juke Box.
