All soft trim, carpets, piping, etc. including the soft top and tonneau are
original on my BT7 MK II:
1 - yes, as is the material on the door panels, the rear quarter panels, and
the front kick panels.
2 - yes (see above)
3 - same size piping, also seems to be the same size piping as is on the
rear door aluminum trim piece.
Looks like I'll have to expand the range of photos that I send to you when
you start working on the car's soft trim! I took a couple of pics of the
interior door tops for you yesterday, but they didn't come out good enough
to send.
Re: the hardtop - if I didn't know better, it almost seems that you have a
2 -seater top - the lower rear aluminum extrusion being the largest single
difference between it and the 4 -seat version. Could be someone has 'put
one together' from parts, so to speak, at some point in the past. Some good
digital photos might help with the fit diagnosis.
There's no other explanation that comes to mind for a gap that large over
the rear cockpit trim rail, which is where the hardtop rear seal sits when
installed (the rear seat squab can still be removed with the top installed)
I have a correct, original hardtop for the BT7 - so - maybe more photos at
some point?

Relating to two previous threads.....
We've got a MkII BT& here...
1) Does anyone know if the trim material on the rear seat back (comes out to
hide the hood), the dash, the top of the dash, the top/interior of the doors
is the same?
It certainly doesn't look it in mine, but what's original & what isn't? Ho
Hum.
2) Are any of them the same as each other?
3) Is the piping at either end of the dash top the same size/width as that
on the seats? Or thicker?
Hardtops. Yes, it's the correct one for the car, appropriately marked:
1) If I remove the window and undo the two uprights by the window and
then put the hardtop back on the car, will it then assume a better fit and
allow me to reshape the window and refit the uprights as appropriate?
2) Leading on from that, are all tops from the same mould and fitted
to the car as I described? Mine is alright fore and aft, so am not
encouraged to move the rake of the screen.
( The fit at the back, over the rear seat back (squab?) is poor.about 1!/2
inches gap.) A squab is a young wood pigeon where I come from! Which is a
good enough note to end on..
