In addition to the more helpful responses from other listers, here are a few
selected terms associated with British cars, for your edification:
Kingpin: a crime boss. Usually ends up in prison, or on suspension.
Helical: exceptionally difficult, as in "I would have installed the Lempert
gear set myself, except that getting it right is helical."
Ratchet: what is found in some Healeys when they have been stored in barns
for years.
Half Shaft: what you have two of when you break a rear axle.
Stub axle: the shorter of the two pieces of broken axle.
Knockoff: To take a break from Healey restoration, as in "Let's knockoff
for a while and have another beer."
Silicon Break Fluid: Lister language for "silicone brake fluid"
