SO glad this thread was started !  All through my restoration, I tried to do
as much of the work myself as possible. -But when it came to the interior, -I
was advised by a local Healey restorer to "have it done". --So I went to the
recommended upholstery shop 60 mi away, and they ordered the Heritage
materials and did the work.  -Hey, I had been immediately convinced, when I
walked into the shop and saw the XK 120, and a Cord that had just received the
most beautiful "butter-crhme" colored leather interior I had ever seen.
--They did a great job on the BT7.
Thing was, I always felt like I had "copped out" a bit by having it done.
-Rather than doing it myself, as I had with the rest of the car.
It's good to know that people with more experience than I, have also found
this to be the wisest way to go.
