Hi Mark,
No air and drain the system, leave all valves closed so there areant any
places for spiders, bugs to go if they thaw out. Your only problem here is
moisture standing for a long time in lines and tank forming oily goo.
Compressors make a lot of oil vapor in lines and tank because of the way the
pump lubricates. Hot water/oily vapors condensate in a cool tank and steel
lines thats why you need filters at the end if painting. Drain often when
using in summer.
