Why don't you just answer his question Norm so he can rectify his problem.
That would give Richard more time to work on his car and may even HELP 
others that are out here listening in.   Isn't that what this list is really 
all about.
If we wanted to go hunting through a bunch of literature we wouldn't be 
posting to the list at this time.

I'll even take a stab at the answer.  Sounds like a problem with wire from 
the cut off to the dizzy.   Could be shorted to frame or open.  Not real 
sure how that circuit works right off the top of my head but that is where I 
would start.
