i am a happy man. our car club left on friday to meet with the arizona mg
club at lake havasu for a great weekend. the weather did not cooperate as it
was snowing in las vegas when we left. we went down to kingman, arizona then
on down to havasu. i was supposed to be a leisurely pace but most of the time
we were doing around 75 and sometimes 80mph. seemed a healey and a triumph
were battleing it out up at the front of caravan. we had 13 cars in the string
with a truck carrying all the luggage, tools, spare parts and snacks. not a
single breakdown on the way. spent two days there doing our thing with
funkanas, rally, and car show with all kinds of british cars. we had
everything from mgtds and old xk120 jags up to brand new jaguars and minis.
left sunday and drove back to vegas and as far as i know now, there were no
breakdowns in our club. even the old xk120, which is still almost completely
original, cruised with the best of them. i am proud of our british cars.
