First I have to apologize to everyone for stepping in here. I promised
myself a long, long time ago that I wouldn't cave in to this - but it's just
too damn easy.
You have to forgive Ed since he hasn't really figured out that the purpose of
this list is to help others. There are several reasons for this.
Understanding these will go a long way to realizing you might be better off
just setting up a filter on your email system to auto-delete his notes.
To steel a great idea from a great comedian - here are the
Top 10 Reasons Ed gets along so well with others
10. Having ridden the short bus to school (actually the short horse drawn
wagon - he's really really old school) he never really learned the fine art of
developing lasting relationships.
9. You need to understand that he's confined in a small garage with poor
air circulation and noxious fumes. And it's dulled his ability to distinguish
between right and wrong.
8. He runs a business which caters to a small group of aging British car
hobby-ist with sometimes limited incomes. And, he's found the secret to
successfully pissing off and alienating his potential market / customer base
and still make billions..., ah millions..., ah thousands..., ah hundreds - yes
- hundreds of dollars off of Moss orders.
7. His dog has heard all of bitchin before and Ed's looking for new targets
6. He's jealous of Michael Oritt's recent award for promoting the marque
and has decided to give him a run for his money in 2006
5. He tries to use 1990's Internet lingo like <G>, <BG> and <GDR> to
communicate to the dog with no success - so that just leaves us dogs to contend
with
4. Ed lost all of his knowledge of the marque when the aliens brought him
back in 1997. In fact the mother ship didn't even get past the moon when the
aliens decided there was no way in hell they could make it all the way back to
planet Xinon with Ed on board...
3. "Hortense" (his car for those of you who don't know) left him two years
ago and he's still bitter.
2. The Central Illinois club disbanded thus taking away his opportunities
to belittle people in person - He owes Al Gore a huge THANK YOU for creating
the Internet.
And the #1 reason Ed gets along so well with others
1. He's trying to become the only subscriber to be banned from the same
list twice.
