The syncros are like the oil pump in the engine DO NOT RE USE. They  
are the one part that makes changing gears smooth and if you don't  
chenge them you will have a grinding when changing gears. Also how  
can you have the overdrive installed and not installed the syncros  
yet. You need to have the transmission built and then set it onto the  
overdrive.
