Good point, Alan. I should have clarified in my post on this
subject.....My BN1, onto which I installed the early 3000 springs, is a late
one with the Hypoid rear end. However, Moss does list the same spring for
all BN1 and BN2. Leads me to believe that even though the rear axle and
all the mountings, etc. are different (spiral bevel vs. hypoid), the springs
themselves might be the same....or at least interchangeable.
I have considered using the highly arched BJ8 springs on an earlier car to
gain the advantage of achieving the desired ride height by adding shims.
Have not tried that yet.
