Dan,
Check fuel supply. Disconnect at the carbs and use a can to catch the 
gas. Turn on the switch and see how fast the gas flows into the can. If 
its slow check the filter in the SU pump. If that's OK and its still 
slow, you may have trouble with crud collecting on the fuel tank screen.
