Ozzie Nelson started his band in 1930 at the Glen Island Casino. Harriet was
the first vocalist with the band.
They got married on Oct. 8, 1935 in Hackensack, New Jersey at Ozzie's
mother's apartment. The Reverend William Russell of the First Episcopal
Church of West Englewood performed the ceremony. The best man and matron of
honor were Ozzie's brother, Alfred, and his wife, Kay.
