Two things I have done to solve this problem:

Thing number one. I changed my email address about 8 or nine months ago and
kept the old one. Only trusted friends have my new address (including, of
course the Healey List). I rarely get any spam on the new address - maybe
one or two every 10 days - while the old one is loaded with it - 15 to 20 a
day. (I check it once a week while emails on the new one flow through). My
ISP allows a lot of free email addresses so it is no big deal.

Thing number two, you need a GOOD email filter. The ones with Outlook or
Outlook Express are IMHO not the way to go. I use Zone Alarm which I find to
be great as it also filters out phishing emails. There are others on the
market. I do NOT use any Norton products as they tend to interfere with
other programs I use a lot. Email filters can be a little time consuming
while they "learn" but are worth it in the long run.

Subject: Healey Email question

Just in the last couple of months the elicit emails that I have been getting
has tripled. I spend much of my time "Block Sendering" these emails and
have
little time left to actually read the real Healey oriented mail. The
Healey
list is really my only outside source for emails that I have , next to a few
personal acquaintances. (such a dull life I know).

My questions to the savvy computer types on the list are,

- Are these miscellaneous emails coming through the Healey list, or through
my internet provider? Is their anything else I can do next to setting up
Email Rules and having them deleted before they come through? That is a
bit
hit and miss cause the subject matter varies so much. Mostly weight loss
and
Viagra related, of which I have no problem either way, thank you very much.
And some even come across in foreign languages that I can't even read.

Thanks in advance, Mark
