I never feel like I need a man beside me when I drive my cars, and his hand
on mine while I shifted gears would just be in the way!! (Two 4s- and a
5-speed) Vroom - Vroom!!
Maybe I'll give a fellow ride, but they've got to be pretty special to get in
the driver's seat.
I did have a guy follow me from one end of town to the other just to get a
better look...... AT MY CAR!

When I purchased my healey 100 some years ago many people told me
that I had purchased the car as a chick magnet. I have heard it
called a crumpet catcher many times on this list. But I am here to
tell you that in my experience the Austin Healey is a dude magnet. Attention
from
women is rare but attention from men is almost universal. One of the
reasons that the Austin Healey is one of the great sports cars of all
time is that one does not feel that one needs a woman beside him when
he drives it, with the possible exception of cold days when one
wishes to keep one's shifting hand warm.
