roll over/under steering

I think I have observed pre-BJ8 Phase II six cylinder cars displaying what is
referred to as roll oversteer. As the car transitions into a turn the chassis
rolls & the rear suspension flexes until a stable condition exists entering
the turn. Because the leaf spring mounts are at different heights, one side of
the rear axle moves forward & the other side moves back as the car leans. I
don't believe the BJ8 phase II's display this because the spring mounts are at
(close to) the same height.
The roll oversteering, if that is indeed what I am experiencing, is
distracting when cornering during spirited driving because it gives the
sensation of
the rear end being "loose" even when you are not near the limits of adhesion.
Are there ways to minimize or eliminate this tendency, hopefully without
compromising ride quality?
