Dan,
Send your shocks to Peter Caldwell at World Wide Auto Parts, 2517 Seiferth
Road, Madison, WI 53716-3302. If you want the original look, be sure to tell
him you want the OEM fillister head screws reused. He normally uses new pan
head phillips.
By the way, he also does an awesome rebuild of water pumps. Better than
anything from the regular suppliers.
I would suggest Jim Taylor in Oklahoma for the SU rebuild.
Try www.advanceddistributors.com<http://www.advanceddistributors.com/>
Not sure about steering gear & idler.

 Pros

Where would the list send me for a quality rebuild on my armstrong shocks,
distributor (H&H Ignition Sulutions-England?), SU carbs (Joe Curto?).
stearing gear box, and Idler box. I would like to send my parts out (if I
am going to do that at all) and support the small quality operators the
list
recommends. I will probably rebuild the stearing box and idler myself and
think my repair manuals do a sufficient job on details there. The only
problem I can see with them is they leak and I thought it would be a good
idea to replace the oil seals and gaskets.

 Regards,

Dan
