Leather (hide) upholstery was also offered on Personal Export Delivery BJ8s
(and perhaps earlier models) for the USA and Canada. These were North
American spec cars that were special-ordered by their original owners and
delivery accepted in the UK.

Yes, you are quite right. This rare red leather, red piping option was
available on the U.K.and European market BJ8's it would seem. However the
original question was with regard to "Roadsters" and the BJ7 and BJ8 were
considered "Convertibles".
