I have always used Castrol 20W-50 exclusively in the Healey in the 23 years
I have owned it.  That includes the break-in period after the engine rebuild
in '99, and all the way up to now.  During the discusson about ZDDP on the
list recently, Castrol 20W-50 was one of the oils still with adequate ZDDP,
as I recall.

Did you use oil with plenty of ZDDF?

Oil companies removed this additive a year ago and a rash of premature cam
flattening occurred on new rebuilds.
