Subject: Electrical OD Switch

Greetings Listers. I have a question for you:

When disassembling my rust-bucket BJ7 several years ago, preparing for
restoration, I bagged and tagged all the electrical boxes including the OD
Relay control box. At least that's what I THINK it is. According to the
documentation I can find, this box does not look like the one normally
fitted into a 7. (The one I see in the photos I use, and on finished Healeys
is about 3" square and has 5 screw-on posts. It has a brown bakelite-type
panel, with the terminals set flat against the bakelite, facing forward on
the firewall.)

The one I took out of the car, when mounted, is about 2 1/2"W X 2"H X 1"D,
has 5 spade tip terminals facing down and has a single bar for mounting on
the firewall..and it fits the firewall mounting holes.

The markings on the front read: LUCAS/Made in England/6RA/33213F 12V 2859
The last 4 digits are almost indistinguishable so may not be correct.

Does anyone know what this is? If so, is it correct for my BJ7. If not
'correct'..will it work with my OD?

I'm new at this Healey thing, so be gentle!
