Although this doesn't help you, I would like to take the opportunity again
to put in a plug for the advantages of having the details and records of a
car included in a registry. The BJ8 registry, at least, attempts to record
the continuous ownership history of each car, and also has a "paper file"
where owners have provided copies of titles, original purchase
documentation, etc., and this would provide a backup location for storage
and preservation of such information.
